Pieces of my view.

Being more present.

Somewhere around the world.

The idea of Pieces of my view came to life when I decided, that I wanted to post the pictures that I was taking during my vacations and walks. I did not want to spam myprivateaccount with all of those landscapepictures, soI had to come up with an idea for a Photography Instagram-account. And that's how I started"Pieces of my view". At first only on Instagram and now I am expanding my idea with this Blog. My pictures represent the moments and places I want to remember forever. Also, I never really edit them, because I want to be as transparent as the world is with us in real life. I am always really impressed byall of theedited images especially the ones that seem so real. And that is exactly what I do not always like about them. I see those perfect landscapes and impressive moments captured in one picture...just to find out, that they were edited. Most of the time it does not even look like it had in real life. And I guess I had just seen enough of thoseInstagram accountsthat made everything seem so perfect. Don't get me wrong I am sure it is pretty hard work and I think that they are beautiful but my priority of staying authentic is just bigger.

Those raw photos make me stop in life and be more present on a daily bases which leaves me being more present in my life. It also leads to me appreciating thelittlethings even more. I did not realize that being more present in my life was what I needed to do andunconsciouslywas already trying to do, until I watched an interview in the beginning of this year. The interview was at a Panel about the DC Comics series"Arrow"with StephenAmelland EmilyBettRickards. They both got asked what advice they would give their characters younger self and also their own younger self. EmilyBettRickardssaid that she would tell her to constantly be more present. That really stuck with me and if you deeply think aboutit, itisextremely goodadvice. It made me think about my priorities in life. Being present means stayingin the momentwith your thoughts, appreciating what you have and taking nothing for granted. It means not just walking through life but living your life to the fullest no matter what. So even though the guidance wasaddressedtoEmbettsyounger self it helped me make a change in my life too. Which I am really grateful for.

Since I was twelve years old my heart desired to go and visit Canada and that dream should have been coming true at the end of August 2020. I pushed back all of my travel plans untilall of thePandemic craziness issettled andwe can go travel again. I have been travelling to closer destinations (before COVID-19) and took pictures of my view of life no matter where in the world I was.Ishared my thoughts, experiences and memories about different kind of places and did not want to pin down where I was at that exact moment. Because I think, that life is about the story you have to tell about that thought or picture and notnecessarilyabout where you come from. So that and the fact that I thought, that I would be travelling through different places was the reason behind the sentence: Somewhere around the world.

That's the whole explanation about my"Pieces of my view".

Be more present and I'll see you in my next piece. :)
